Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti organized in Bhupesh Nagar
“Program organized to increase communal harmony”
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti was organized in Bhupesh Nagar under the joint aegis of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Nagpur West and Bhupesh Nagar Welfare Society.
The program was headed by Shiva Charitra practitioner, renowned thinker, professor Prem Kumar Boke from Amravati and Dr. Khwaja Nurul Ameen, from Message Department of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Nagpur West was chief guest of the program. Pramod Vaidya, city president of Maratha Seva Sangh, Dr. MA Rasheed, Abdul Aziz(JIH, Nagpur West) and Mohandas Chaurey(National Kirtanakar of Gurudev Seva Mandal) were present on the occasion.
The purpose of this program was to shed light on the biographies of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, and clear misconceptions spread in the society and enhance communal harmony.
Speakers at the program said that even today, Shivaji Maharaj has respect in the Muslim community. There was no casteism during his reign. Muslim brothers held high positions. We need to be careful of hate mongers.
The program was organized with social distancing norms following the official instructions of Covid-19.
Among the distinguished citizens in the program were retired police officers Devidas Wankhede, social workers Vishal Mahore, Raju Bhau Raut, Sanjay Mule, Raju Bhau Wankhede, Ravindra Solav, Sanjay Dorshetwar, Shinde Saheb, Hemant Wankhede, Tejas Solav, Rohan Solav, Mina Mule, Sheetal Mahore , Vaishali Bhatkar, Archana Solav, Aarti Solav Aruna Solav, Vaishali Wankhede, Manju Tai Wankhede, Snehal Revatkar, Pratima Thakre etc. were present. Women participated extensively in making the program successful.
